Do It Anyway.

As we round the corner from January to February, I’m hearing from a lot of you the early hints of Spring Fever. Okay, maybe it is just in my own head, but I think it will resonate with many of you. The days are starting to get longer (ever so slowly) but we’ve still got a lot of winter ahead of us. Aside from the inherent beauty of winter and the abundance of mountain snow fun, the gray days and cold temperatures can take a toll on our mental well-being. The holidays are long gone but full-on Spring may still be many weeks away.

How are those resolutions holding up?

We are most of the way through January and the daily grind is back in full swing. Some of us are a few weeks into a lifestyle shift of healthier eating, more movement, and a solid gym regimen. If that is you, GREAT JOB! Statistics show however that most of us have already given up on those New Year’s resolutions and are back to our previous setpoint…or worse. The cruel reality of January has replaced the unbridled optimism of the holidays and new year.

Snowdown Rowing Regatta!

We are making a last push to get folks signed up for the 2nd Annual Rowing Regatta. As you all know, Snowdown is full of events that are wacky and crazy. Most events are the OPPOSITE of health and fitness focused. While we certainly aren’t knocking donut eating contests or drinking games (okay, maybe we are), we wanted to provide an alternative event with all the fun but not the debauchery. The questions and inquiries are starting to roll in around how to get started at Catacombs in the new year. We are a small gym and we pride ourselves on personal connections with each athlete and the cohesiveness of our community.
